Time is running out to experience the captivating "Rising from the Blackwood" exhibition at the Goorbilyup Gallery, located in the newly opened Bridgetown-Greenbushes Visitor Centre. If you haven't yet visited, this is your last chance to see the showcase before it closes at the end of August.
The "Rising from the Blackwood" exhibition features works by ten contemporary artists from Bridgetown who were part of the recent Blackwood River Arts Trail. These artists, who are recognised for their professional calibre, have come together to present a selection of their finest pieces. Each artist is exhibiting two to three works, offering a glimpse into the high level of artistry that visitors can look forward to during the next Blackwood River Art Trail, set to take place in April 2025.
The exhibition is rich with a sense of place, with each piece reflecting the unique inspiration drawn from living in and around Bridgetown. The artists featured in this exhibition are Cassi-Jo Davis, Kim Perrier, Margaret Beechey Rothery, Trish Durham, Colleen Currey, Laurie Alison Bullied, Tracey Jarick, Christine Latham, Melinda Stephens, and Gemma Lawlor.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see the talent that thrives within our local community. Visit the Goorbilyup Gallery this week and immerse yourself in the vibrant art scene of Bridgetown before the exhibition closes.
The Visitor Centre is open 7 days, Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm and weekends 10am – 1pm.
