The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is currently home to over 5,200 residents with over 28% in the over 65 age bracket. The Age-Friendly Community Plan has been developed in order to assist Council to provide community facilities and opportunities that are age-friendly and accessible  and continues to build upon the existing services, networks and infrastructure needed to support local residents to stay in their chosen community as they get older.

Bridgetown Meals on Wheels and Blackwood Area Transport Service merged with Belong at Home to provide home support services. Belong at Home supports clients to be safe and comfortable in their own homes.

PATS – Patient Assisted Travel Scheme

The Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) provides financial subsidies for eligible WA country residents to reduce the cost of accessing the closest specialist medical services that are not available locally.
