An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes (the Shire) as a Cleaner on a part time basis.

As the successful applicant you will be required to maintain the cleaning of Shire of Bridgetown- Greenbushes assets in both Bridgetown and Greenbushes, to a safe, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing standard.

Whilst a minimum of 16.5 hours per fortnight is offered, it is anticipated you will be flexible in increasing your hours of work to maintain our high standards of service to the Community during planned and unplanned absences within the team.

This position is offered at Level 3 of the Municipal Employees (WA) Award 2021 and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes Outside Work Staff Enterprise Agreement 2023 ($34.2555 per hour).

Manager - Finance

Full Time Employment

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Manager - Finance, to join the Corporate Services team.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Corporate Services, this role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure corporate compliance in all financial matters for the Shire. As the successful candidate, you will provide management and leadership for all functions of Finance and Customer Services within the Corporate Services Department.

To be successful, you will be expected to possess the required level of skills and experience to fulfil this role. You will have substantial demonstrated practical experience at a supervisory or management level including demonstrated working knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and systems, including; goods and services tax (GST), fringe benefit tax (FBT) and pay as you go (PAYG) as they apply in a local government setting.

Subsidised housing is available to the successful applicant. The Shire also offers additional Superannuation contributions, discounted Gym membership, flexible working hours and a family friendly environment.

The position is offered at Level 9 negotiated salary of the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes (Administration) Employee Collective Agreement 2023, with a total annual salary package of $115,000pa.

Bus Caretaker - Casual

An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes (the Shire) as a Community Bus Caretaker on a casual basis.

As the successful applicant you will be required to oversee the regular maintenance of the Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Bus. Duties include, but are not limited to, inspecting the bus after each hire, cleaning the bus when required, install/uninstall seats as required and completing the logbook and assessment paperwork.

This position is offered at Level 1 of the Municipal Employees (WA) Award 2021 and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes Outside Work Staff Enterprise Agreement 2023 ($36.4402 per hour). The position is up to 120 hours per annum as required.

Applicants will be required to have a current Light Rigid (LR) Driver’s Licence.

Customer Service Administration Officer - Full Time

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Customer Service / Administration Officer to join the Corporate Services team.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, this role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure professional customer service is provided to the public in the Shire. As the successful candidate, you will provide customer services and administrative support within the Corporate Services Department.

To be successful, you will be expected to possess the required level of skills and experience to fulfil this role. You will have demonstrated practical experience serving customers efficiently and providing administrative support to internal staff.

The Shire offers additional Superannuation contributions, discounted Gym membership, flexible working hours and a family friendly environment.

Dependant on skills and experience of the successful applicant, the position is offered between a level 2.1 and 4.1 of the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes (Administration) Employee Collective Agreement 2023, with a total annual salary package of between $57,000 and 69,005.

Pool Operators

Temporary Casual Employment

We are looking for a number of suitably qualified and enthusiastic Pool Operators to work closely with and supervise our Lifeguards during the Bridgetown Leisure Centre’s pool season (November 2024 – April 2025).
These positions are offered on a temporary casual basis, to cover the annual pool season, ensuring the highest of safety standards are maintained for our aquatics patrons.
Relevant formal qualifications are a must, along with a high level of fitness and enthusiasm for working in a team dedicated to delivering best practice customer service.
The positions are offered at Level 6 of the Local Government Officers’ (WA) Award 2021 and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes (Administration) Employee Collective Agreement 2023, with an hourly rate of $45.9145.
